Villa Ura sits on the crest of a hill overlooking the Upper Tiber Valley in Tuscany and to the south, over Umbria. There are three acres of grounds, much of it terraced with fruit trees such as fig, peach and pear. Further down is a large working vineyard producing a fine red Chianti.
Nestled on a terrace and screened by vines is a stunning horizon (infinity) swimming pool, where the water flows gently over the travertine stone border. Measuring 16m in length (50 ft), the pool has been plastered in light grey which creates a beautiful pale green to turquoise in the Tuscan sun.
Outside the kitchen is a paved terrace, surrounded by lavender bank and shaded by a pergola, which is the perfect place to dine al fresco. There are also plenty of fresh herbs to pick.
